Our Macedonian platform member and trendsetting Balkan music hub PIN hosted UPBEAT and the Hangvető Team, renewing our mutual appreciation, and oiling future projects. Containing professional buzz, fresh programming and an unbeatable vibe in equal measures, PIN has gone through exemplary evolution while upholding its OG credits at the 11th edition.
We talked management strategies, synching secrets and Balkan buzz, and sampled an inspiring lineup of international and regional talent. We saw cool DJs in the bathroom and in the kitchen, amazing performances at the big club stage by Japanese and Hungarian, French and Macedonian, Bulgarian and Burkinabé artists.
We met our new Associate partners, and recruited new ones at the UPBEAT reception, with a dedicated, young professional crowd in attendance from the Balkans and the rest of Europe. Young and crazy Brigade du Kif and Fülü played at the French Apero x UPBEAT reception, getting attendants to gently sway and sociably swing.
Last year’s Best New Talent artist Zarina Prvasevda took part and extolled the results of international collaborations like MOST and UPBEAT at the conference.
Another session, the aptly named Drinking Panel had us share stories and laughs with fellow music professionals. PIN proved its sizzling spirit, knack for innovation and drive to lift up emerging artists – a Best of Balkans experience and an inspiration for the whole platform.
