SHIP Showcase Festival & Conference set sail in the beautiful port town of Šibenik, Croatia. A newcomer on the showcase scene, launched by We Move Music Croatia, SHIP was abuzz with new energy, keen interest, inspiring acts and lively discussions set in top-notch venues.
UPBEAT was represented by Eszter Barna and Márton Sütheő, Eszter joining a panel on one of UPBEAT’s core missions: pushing the needle towards sustainability in the industry. Practical steps and macro visions were shared by the panel; Boyan Pinter (Believe, SPIKE, Glastonbury) and Brenda Dobrovicsová (Rock for People, Charmenko CZ) besides Eszter, moderated by Juliette Olivares.
With many MOST alumni in attendance and BALKAN:MOST’s blast still tangible, there was decided interest towards UPBEAT and the possibility of new projects hung thick in the humid port town air. Our Croatian hosts were amazing, and SHIP made a stunning entry we hope will prove a lasting addition to our showcase community.
